Privacy Policy
Draft: to be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
This explains what bnbnet collects and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email and password (stored by our sign-in provider, never in plain text).
- Your books: listings, booking reports and statements you upload, transactions, categories and rules.
- Bank data (VIP): through Plaid, the accounts and transactions you choose to connect. Your bank login goes to Plaid, never to bnbnet.
- Phone number: if you turn on texts, to send and receive sorting texts.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We don’t see or store your full card number.
How we use it
Only to run bnbnet for you: show your numbers, sort transactions, send the texts and emails you turned on, and bill your plan. We don’t sell your data and don’t use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run bnbnet: Supabase (database and sign-in), Render (hosting), Plaid (bank connections), Stripe (billing), Twilio (texts), and Anthropic (Penny’s smart answers, when you ask a question). Each may only use your data to provide their service.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Bank access tokens are also encrypted at rest. See our Security page.
Your choices
You can export your books, disconnect banks, turn off texts (reply STOP), and ask us to delete your account and data.
